Hog Roast Kirton were delighted to join wedding customers, Oksana and Bear, for their special day here in Kirton at the end of April. With an international background, Oksana and Bear came to the Hog Roast Kirton wedding catering team to bring the home-style cooking of the UK. As roast dining specialists, of course we were the most obvious choice to do so.
As wedding caterers we look to make every job special. We know just how big a day it is for every one of our customers, even after the thousands upon thousands that we have catered for. Each wedding is no less special than the last, even several decades in.
So once again we were privileged to come out to a wedding here in Lincolnshire. For Bear and Oksana it was to be a smaller, more intimate affair with only 33 of their closest friends and family to cook for. Over the years we have often found that some of the smaller weddings can be the best. They may not sound as grandiose, as extravagant as a wedding with a fully booked out hall and hundreds in attendance, but they certainly do not lack on the magic, the love, the specialness that really makes the day. Our dining, we hope, contributes in no small part to that, too.
And with orders for our home-style of UK cooking, our head chef Rob made sure to recommend a very special menu that would satisfy that exact requirement and then some. As ever, our hog roast had to be the star of the show, joined along with its typical backing of sage and onion stuffing, golden crackling, and fresh apple sauce. However, for even more of that home-style British feel, where comfort and dining go hand in hand, we also added in our butcher’s grade sausage, made fresh that day and grilled perfectly on our versatile roasting unit. These were also joined by our grilled veg and halloumi skewers, herb dressed new potatoes, and a further comfort food of homemade cauliflower cheese.
