Firstly, in general terms, Rob was nothing short of superb. He arrived for our face-to-face meeting on time, which was very much appreciated by both myself and Steve. During our discussion, he raised important points that we had not considered, regarding lactose free ingredients for the deserts etc. Very important when you are lactose free yourself!! He was very detailed regarding the format of the food. Eg, did we want the chicken as a mix of on the bone and boneless?
He surveyed the available area and we decided the best place for him to set up his equipment. Which he adhered to.
On the day, he text me to notify he was on his way and his time of arrival. Again, he was punctual.
Despite there being a 15-minute delay with the serving of the food (due to the late arrival of some guests), all of the food was absolutely wonderful (so many compliments were passed). It was laid out in such a manner that access was orderly.
The presentation of the desserts would have put Masterchef winners in the shade.
When he and his assistant cleared everything away, they were quick, effective and efficient. You would not have known they had even been in situe.
He and his assistant were polite, professional and very personable. A credit to both themselves, their families and the company.
I would have absolutely no issue in recommending The Spitting Pig to anyone for all of the above reasons, and indeed, many of guests did request the details.
