The cold weather has not stopped people from partying. People still have a lot of reasons to celebrate and last Saturday Hog Roast Messingham was serving up their flavour-filled and exciting BBQ menu for a ‘sweet sixteen’ party. Barbecues are a great and easy way to feed a lot of guests, especially pleasing for the younger generations and meat lovers, and they do not have to stay in the season of summer!
Ava and her friends were apparently a fussy bunch of people when it came to food so when Rachel stumbled across Hog Roast Messingham’s BBQ with all its selections, she knew that would be the best menu for her daughters sixteenth. The menu is not just your usual ‘same-old’ BBQ food but rather a super enticing mighty feast of deliciousness. Of course, it would not be a BBQ without burger and sausages and Hog Roast Messingham’s burgers are 100% 6oz British beef patties sourced from their local butchers. They also use their local butcher’s favourite Cumberland sausages that are filled with a variety of herbs. The catering managers always bring cheese slices so that guests can create the ultimate cheeseburger and sliced white onions which can be enjoyed on either the sausages or burgers. Many of the teenagers opted for the cheeseburgers.
In addition to these two tasty meats, Hog Roast Messingham’s menu includes superbly tender, fall off the bone smoked sticky BBQ spareribs. The ribs get marinated in a Texan-style BBQ sauce before being cooked fresh on the day, the ribs sizzled away, and the smell was to die for leading to many people choosing to have a taste. Another Hog Roast Messingham delicacy on this menu is their juicy chicken kebabs, something different and were devoured by the guests.
Ava’s vegetarian friends had scrumptious halloumi skewers with Mediterranean vegetables and her one vegan friend enjoyed a roasted red pepper and butternut squash hot dog.
The chips went down a treat with the teenagers and they even enjoyed the fresh Greek Salad and coleslaw.
