For Nelly’s 60th birthday party that Hog Roast Grantham catered over the weekend, she asked us to feed more than fifty guests with our fabulous Southern Slow Roast Menu. This versatile menu gives you no less than three different marinated meats from a choice of five, and they are all cooked on the day at a low temperature for hours and hours, ensuring you get tasty, tender morsels that just melt in the mouth. But that’s not all you get! We also give you four sides from a possible seven, including hot and cold options, and there’s a vegetarian choice, too.
At first, Nelly found it hard to choose between our succulent meats of barbecued pork butt, Texan 24-hour beef brisket, Cajun-spiced whole roast chickens, Creole pulled quarter of spiced lamb and Louisiana sticky pork ribs that just fall off the bone. She then found it even harder to choose the sides, from our Memphis-style crunchy coleslaw, Greek salad, corn cobettes, mac and cheese, seasonal green leaf salad, Cajun-spiced sweet potato wedges and skin-on Southern-style whole baked potatoes. However, in the end, she decided on chicken, beef and pork, as well as wedges, two salads and our coleslaw.
On the day of Nelly’s milestone birthday, Hog Roast Grantham cooked up a taste sensation with all of the lovely dishes and the guests clearly loved the choice and variety we provided.
