While Hog Roast Scunthorpe is renowned for our pigs in buns, we also offer a variety of options for our customers to choose from, including several menus. Our Private Party Menu 5 is perfect for more a formal party, whether indoors or outdoors, and features homemade canapés and a drinks service, as well as a sumptuous main course buffet and a selection of scrumptious desserts.
For the main, you can choose two from several options, including a slowly roasted hog, which we served with our own apple sauce and stuffing, as well as crispy crackling carved straight off the pig. You could alternatively select a slow-roasted spring lamb with rosemary, mint and a mustard and dill sauce, a whole slow-roasted turkey served with fresh cranberries and stuffing, a local free-range slow-roasted chicken with stuffing and homemade onion gravy, sirloin of roast beef with Yorkshire puddings, horseradish sauce and homemade red wine gravy, or even barbecued meat, kebabs and ribs, or a vegetarian main.
For Jacqui’s 60th birthday party in the lovely village of Barnetby, Menu 5 was the order of the day for the 40 guests, and Hog Roast Scunthorpe would be serving the canapés at 12:30pm, the main course at 2:30pm, and then tea, coffee, and mints served to the tables afterwards.
Our Hog Roast Scunthorpe Chef Rob and his team created a gorgeous feast on the day of the milestone birthday celebration. The canapés looked absolutely amazing, with halloumi kebabs, spicy Thai chicken kebabs, Peking duck wraps, mini quiches, and salmon all arranged so beautifully that they all looked almost too good to eat! We love to make sure all our customers and their guests can eat well on the day, so we include vegetarian options, such as the halloumi kebab and mini quiche canapés, and we can make them vegan if needed. We also cater for other guests on special diets – just ask our team for suggestions when you call to book.
To finish off the meal at Jacqui’s party, we served yummy desserts of handmade chocolate torte and lemon tart, both served with fresh cream, raspberries, and a fruit coulis, which went down just as well as the rest of our fantastic food.
